Contract Binding Submit (CBS) Unit

About the CBS Unit

The Arch Insurance Group’s CBS Unit is located in Scottsdale, Arizona and consists of an assembled team of experienced professionals who possess a deep understanding of the carrier-wholesaler relationship. Our management team has extensive experience with submit-brokerage property (package only), general liability and liquor liability accounts.

Our Philosophy

Our core philosophy is to underwrite additional ISO classes and ineligible risks created by the Contract Binding Unit’s limitations in using rules-based technology.

The CBS Unit will consider accounts that are ineligible for our Contract Binding Unit, including:

  • Accounts with Loss Frequency/Severity
  • Accounts Slightly Higher in Exposures and Maximum Premiums
  • Low Risk Products Liability Exposures

The Contract Binding Submit Unit's appetite will closely mirror the existing Contract Binding Unit’s portfolio as respects to fixed premises and contracting classes, excluding NY contractors. Additionally, we will consider some classes of business with Products Liability exposures.

Our team will be using the Contract Binding Platform for Quoting, Binding, and Issuing Policies.
