Greg Hare is the Senior Vice President of Branding and Employee Communications Services at Arch Capital Services Inc. He previously held the role of Chief Customer Officer and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for United Guaranty Corporation prior to its acquisition by Arch in January 2017. Mr. Hare joined United Guaranty Corporation in February 2012. Prior to that, he was with AGL Resources, and he has also held a variety of positions with marketing and advertising agencies in both Atlanta and New York, working on brands including Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, Holiday Inn and ESPN. Mr. Hare holds a B.A. in Advertising and an M.B.A. from the University of Florida.
Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Chris Hovey is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Arch Capital Services Inc. He was promoted from Chief Operating Officer of Arch Mortgage Insurance Company in July 2018. Prior to joining Arch, Mr. Hovey was acting as Chief Operating Officer for PMI Mortgage Insurance Co. since 2011. Prior to that role, he was Senior Vice President of servicing operations and loss management. He originally joined PMI in 2002 and held successive positions in IT, mortgage operations and portfolio analytics. Mr. Hovey holds a bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University and an M.B.A. from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California.
Senior Vice President, Director of Internal Audit Services
Bill Hitter is Senior Vice President and Director of Internal Audit of Arch Capital Services Inc., a role he has held since December, 2005. Prior to joining Arch, Mr. Hitter spent two years as an Associate Director with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). He was a Principal in Ernst & Young’s tri-state insurance practice, where he was responsible for directing and coordinating audit and advisory services for insurance companies. Mr. Hitter is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel
Joy A. Huibonhoa is Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Arch Capital Services Inc. She joined Arch in 2002 after seven years practicing corporate law, with a focus on securities and private equity transactions, in New York City law firms and a venture capital fund/consulting firm. Her current responsibilities include corporate governance, investment, finance activities and legal operations for Arch companies. Ms. Huibonhoa holds an A.B. from Harvard College and a J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law.
Senior Vice President, Director of Taxation Services
Deborah Huppert is Senior Vice President and Director of Taxation Services of Arch Capital Services Inc. She joined Arch in 2003 from Trenwick Group Ltd. where she assumed the role of Vice President and Director of Tax. Prior to going “in-house” in the (re)insurance industry, Ms. Huppert was a New York-based tax manager with the accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP. She is a New York State-licensed Certified Public Accountant and received her B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Debra O’Connor is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Arch Capital Services Inc., a position she has held since April 2002. Since joining Arch in 1995, she acted in a variety of accounting and finance roles for Arch Capital Group Ltd. and Arch Re (US). Prior to joining Arch, she was employed at XL Re America, General Re Corp. and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Ms. O’Connor is a Certified Public Accountant and she holds a B.S. from Manhattan College.
Chief Analytics Officer
Arch Capital Group Ltd.
Jay Rajendra is the Chief Analytics Officer for Arch Capital Group Ltd. He is responsible for leading and developing Arch’s analytics capabilities to improve profitability and growth. Prior to joining ACGL, Mr. Rajendra was Head of Business Solutions for XL Catlin’s Strategic Analytics team. Before XL, Mr. Rajendra was a Senior Consultant at Towers Watson in both North America and Europe, where he advised large international (re)insurers and start-ups on pricing, strategy and M&A. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He holds a combined Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics from Oxford University and an M.B.A. from MIT.
Chief Transformation Officer
Michelle Seymour-Smith is the Chief Transformation Officer of Arch Capital Group Ltd. Promoted in November 2018, she was previously Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Arch Reinsurance Ltd. Prior to joining Arch in 2004 as Vice President, Controller, she held various positions at XL Capital and Zurich Insurance Global Energy. Mrs. Seymour-Smith has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Dalhousie University, is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda and was named a Fellow of the International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation Program in 2017.
Executive Vice President, Financial Services
Donald Watson is Executive Vice President, Financial Services of Arch Capital Services Inc. He manages external communications including investor relations, rating agencies and banking relations. Prior to joining Arch in 2005, he worked in a variety of roles in the financial services industry, most recently with ACE Ltd. and Standard & Poor’s Insurance Ratings Group. Mr. Watson received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and holds a B.A. from Illinois State University.
